Nina Pratley:
So sorry it’s taken me so long to write this for you! I’ve been quite busy! Hope you and Christine are well, and that everything at the school is okay. I’ve done a few jobs since the end of the course – It’s been very quiet for everyone, but it’s starting to pick up now! Working as Christine Cant’s trainee has been amazing – I’ve done a small job for the Bafta coverage on E!, with Alicia Dixon, some skits that were being broadcast as part of the red carpet coverage. I’ve been working on a pilot for a sketch show for the BBC, which is really interesting – doing lots of different looks means I’m learning a lot! I also did a day on the French & Saunders sketch for Comic Relief, which was a really fun, interesting experience. Coming up I’m going to be in Somerset for a couple of months on Jam and Jerusalem with Christine, which I’m really looking forward to. That’s all for now – I’ll keep you updated!
Have a good day,
Nina x

Hi Petar,
Hope your all keeping well? Well after a slow spell everything came at once! Luckily I have not stopped since. Since I last wrote to you I have had some work doing trainee dailies on a smaller budget film called Centurion. Then I went on to do some days on Gulliver's Travels as a trainee which was being filmed in Blenhiem Palace. That was an amazing experience. The hair and make up was just so fantastic. Whilst I was on Gulliver's I got a call from Julia Vernon asking me if I was free to go to Tenerife for a few weeks to work as the crowd trainee on Clash of the Titans!! I couldn't believe my luck! I said yes immediately.
We were in Tenerife for 2 weeks in total and it was such an amazing experience to film abroad. We were filming up Mount Teide which if you know is a volcano that hasn't errupted for a few thousand of years! Thank god it didn't decide to errupt whilst we were there.
Travelling took a long time there and back but it was well worth the views and scenery. Then we came back to England to prepare for some large crowd scenes being filmed in Longcross studios. It was nice as a couple of other CBMA trainees also came on board then too.
I'm loving working on Clash and am hoping I will be on it untill the end. I have met some fantastic people working in the crowd room. I have also really enjoyed being part of a team who are constantly creative and inventive. I've learnt so much from them. They're constantly sharing tips and advice, which is just building up my knowledge. I've got a few weeks off for the moment which is giving me a chance to do some other projects i.e private lessons, weddings and I'm helping work on a commercial, then I will be back on towards August.
Take care hope to see you soon
Sylvia Atkins

Hi miserable pete!!
I've been sooo busy over the last couple of weeks, there's been so much preparation to do! We've spent a lot of time styling and cutting wigs for the various 'groups' of girls (emo and eco-warrior being some of the craziest wigs!) We also had a test day for hairstyles with the 70 extras (long day!!) - the 'posh totty' girls were very happy with their pretty styles but the 'rude girls' not so happy with their slicked back styles! Hilarious! We just had to remind them it was for the good of the film!!!
All of the main characters have had their screen tests now and the trailer has been loaded up - we're starting filming tomorrow in Hertford! Kirstin said that I'm doing well and was very happy my trailer labelling sytem (!!) so I think everything is good. I've learnt so much already and am really enjoying everything although I am very very very tired! A feeling that everyone tells me is set to continue!
Anyway, I will keep you posted!!
Speak soon!
Love Charlotte x x
Camila Fernandez:
Hi Peter,
I've been pretty busy really. Today I'm grooming actor Stephen Graham (This Is England, Lock Stock) for a shoot with The Guardian and for tonight's premiere of his new film "Public Enemies".
I've done several shorts, music video's, a commercial for ITV and a corporate since graduating. Last week and this week I'm also doing hair and make-up for celebs (Jodie Kidd, Tara Palmer Thomkinson, Nina Wadia, Natalie Cassidy to name a few) for an online show by Leopard films called "Raw". I'm also doing my first proper fashion shoot for designer Katherine Hamnett next Monday.
The hours have been pretty long but I'm really enjoying myself and working really hard.
Camila xx

Hey P
How you doing? Im in an internet cafe in frqnce at the moment and some of the letters are in different places on the frence keyboard so please excuse ... the letter q is where a normqlly resides so apologies in advance ...!!!!!
So things have been pretty busy! Clash of the titans was absolutely incredible with a capital I. Talk about team efforts to get 200 extras ready to start shooting at 9 in the morning. If you can imagine a hanger with 6 rows of desks majority filled with makeup mirrors, stations set up for the artists so about 40 places or so... our roles as trainees was to ensure the smooth journey of each extra so when they walked in the room in costume without makeup we had to sit them to a makeup artist where the magic would happen along with their pre fitted wig, headpiece and or facial hair where appropriate so they could be transformed!! and of course the de rigging at the end of a very long but very very enjoyable day. met some fantastic people on my 5 weeks and i feel incredibly lucky to have seen what i have.
on the other end of the scale on a much smaller scale job, selfridges launched a brand new eco friendly very natural brand called Natural Empathy which has shot to favour in just 6 months of founding and found its place in the beauty hall in selfridges. It was launched by Miss Green Earth 2008 last week and I styled her hair and makeup for the launch. Check it out... the eco products are really becoming very mainstream now. Also check out cocoeco magazine... its an eco conscious online magazine that I was fortunate enough to have some pictures published in the May editioin. They are gaining amazing momentum already including NPR, Lucky Mag, and Teen Vogue, and are very close to breaking mainstream coverage. Its a great read!!
Its very stop start though so i am trying desperately hard to keep molmentum going and my chin up.... amazing people on the way are helping with that so its not too bad i guess :0)
hope everything back at the rance is going well?
lots of love and see you soon L xxx
