As summer has drawn to a close and the colder air draws in, it can mean only one thing for our Six Month Training Programme Students: the onset of Boot Camp! This is the final major project they will undertake at CB*MA, culminating all the skills they have developed here on their way to becoming professional Make-up Artists.
As such they have been working extremely hard getting in as much preparation as possible before the big test begins. Research has been thorough and varied, with students visiting museums, art galleries and even the British Library in order to gather thorough and accurate information to create the best possible historical and realistic looks.
“It helped me immensely, going to the British Museum and the Wallace collection, “said Chloe, “It is important to vary your research.”
“Another Important factor is to see things first hand and to see the actual artefacts, interjected birthday girl Kate. “And its free!”
In Boot Camp time constraints are extremely tight. This prepares students for the precise and occasionally very hectic lifestyle of Make-up Artists on film and television productions. We have every confidence that they’ll get through these weeks with great dedication and a sense of fun, creating fond memories that will stay with them through their careers.
