April is here and so our Five Month Course has begun. Our new students have just completed their first week of Basic Make-up with Lesa this week, and are settling in nicely for the next five months to come. Monday was a nervous day for them but after a chat with Christine to help them feel more comfortable; they soon got to work and are already perfecting the perfect base, eye and lip make-up on each other. They have been putting together their mood boards for their first piece of CB*MA homework (although all fun and creative homework I hasten to add), because they have been asked to design their own look for their models by the end of the week. Plus, the long weekend coming up gives them plenty of opportunity to create their boards for next week, in which they start to learn about Make-up through the ages! This is a great week for them to learn about the history of make – up, and the periods that crop up the most in film, meaning they will be well-prepared for the most common scenarios. Later on in the course, they will be exploring the different era in more depth; at the moment it’s all about getting the basics right.
We look forward to seeing what amazing looks they put together for us over the next twenty weeks!
