No other course has been designed by an Oscar and Award winning make-up designer or had as much input by fellow make-up artists as this one.

You will be taught, not just what Christine feels is necessary but what the industry demands

Here are just some of the reasons why this course will be the best around.

We have created the ultimate course that reflects Christine Blundell's philosophy of providing you with the broadest of educations and the required skills with which to start out on your new career.

After extensive research, collating information from the advanced graduates, tutors and employers alike, we feel that we have come up with an excellent blend of learning and observation.

  Behind The lens Weekend Workshop:

After all the preparation, hard work and volcano eruptions, our workshop finally happened. We were very proud to have on the weekend both Sue Gibson (35 mm camera) and Sean Bobbitt (H.D camera) as well as two assistant camera men and two gaffers.

I was unsure as to how the weekend would look until I saw all the camera equipment come in and set up. We had on one side the 35mm camera and on the other side of the school we had two differing H.D cameras, the Arri D21 and the Sony 900, both from differing ends of scale.

It was an amazing opportunity to look through differing camera lenses and have hands on approach; with great Director of photography on hand to answer all questions.

We set out to “demystify the other side” as it were. To understand what Cameras do and the terminology involved. Comparing the differing cameras and the possibility of lighting was truly inspirational. It gave an amazing insight to the possibilities that a make-up artist could have with some understanding of cameras and lenses.

On Sunday we hired the Odeon Camden to show footage of the world’s largest camera tests, to show the comparisons between all cameras. We had some great close ups of make-up to compare and seeing it on the big screen really helped. The weekend closed with John Landis, director. He spoke of the relationship between director and make-up artist and what he expects from them.

He told many interesting poignant stories and gave advice to all present. It was a great way to end a remarkable weekend that only CB*MA could have held. Very shortly we will have a video of the weekend and you will be able to view it on line.
