We are very pleased to announce our Airbrushing Workshop. Our training advisor to the course is Dean Rudd. Dean is a senior make-up artist and a MAC pro trainer, who has worked on London & Paris fashion weeks; the film “kinky boots”; Eva Herzagovia, Christian Slater and Lindsay Lohan to name but a few. He has a natural and logical approach to make-up and its application. He trains throughout the world and has conducted the M.A.C Airbrush Master class in New York’.
ROOTS
Dean Rudd has been an International Professional Make Up Artist for 12 years. With his fascination and influences by early black & white horror movies, such as ‘Bride of Frankenstein’ – they are responsible for him pursuing a career in make up. From editorial, body painting to working behind the scenes of television, theatre and fashion. Dean has also taught for 5 years at The College of East Anglia, National Diploma in Media Make up. Dean loves creating classic beauty make up as well as colourful and bizarre works of art on the face and body. Walt Disney, comic book art and classic artists all play a vital part in Dean’s designs and continue to be a huge influence to him. Dean enjoys direct challenges of creating something new and exciting whether it is on the face or the body.
TRAINING
Dean has been a Trainer at MAC for over 6 years. His passion for make up and educating people has taken him all over the globe. He has a creative and logical approach to make up and its application. He regularly attends training programmes in America and has delivered Training for LAMDA on basic grooming for male and female actors.
His work as a Pro Trainer for M.A.C has enabled him to give advice to make up artists working in film, theatre and fashion. Dean regularly works with the Donmar Warehouse.
FASHION
Dean can also be found backstage at international Fashion Collections in London and Paris. He has worked with world-renowned Make Up Artist including: Sharon Dowset, Alex Box, Miranda Joyce, Phylis Cohen and Charlotte Tilbury. Dean has worked on shows for Ellie Saab, Ghost, Alice Temperly, Peter Jensen, Gaultier, Gareth Pugh, and Alexander McQueen to name a few.
