No other course has been designed by an Oscar and Award winning make-up designer or had as much input by fellow make-up artists as this one.

You will be taught, not just what Christine feels is necessary but what the industry demands

Here are just some of the reasons why this course will be the best around.

We have created the ultimate course that reflects Christine Blundell's philosophy of providing you with the broadest of educations and the required skills with which to start out on your new career.

After extensive research, collating information from the advanced graduates, tutors and employers alike, we feel that we have come up with an excellent blend of learning and observation.

CB*MA runs regular open days throughout the year, so that prospective students can come and see what the school is like, meet our current students and chat to our tutors. They start and 11:00am and finish at 4:00pm and you can drop in at any time during the day.

We set our students a project to work on for the open day and it is the first time they will come under scrutiny from people outside the Academy! So they might even be a little nervous!

It really is a great opportunity for you to get a feel for the place and the people. Make sure you have a list of questions on hand so you don’t forget anything and we’ll treat you to a nice cuppa and a chocolate biccie as you stroll around.

Our wonderful guest Lesley Manville at work...

Afternoon Tea With Lesley Manville:

Every other month we organise Afternoon Tea at the Academy, where we invite someone from the industry. They have included directors, actors, producers, professionals that can help our students get more of an understanding of the industry that they want to enter in.

Soon we will be hosting Lesley Manville who has worked on many different mediums from film, theatre and t.v. Lesley is Mike Leigh’s most frequent actor collaborator, and has worked with the director on ‘Secrets and Lies’, ‘High Hopes’, ‘Topsy-Turvy’, ‘All or Nothing’, ‘Vera Drake’, the BBC film ‘Grown-Ups’, a radio play and in the theatre. Her other screen credits include Robert Zemeckis's 'A Christmas Carol' and the yet to be released 'Womb'.

On stage she appeared in the original productions of the modern classics ‘Top Girls’, ‘Serious Money’ and ‘Les Liaisons Dangereuses’, as well as the highly acclaimed revivals of Edward Bond’s ‘Saved’ and ‘The Pope’s Wedding’.

In the last few years, Lesley has worked extensively at the National Theatre appearing in 'His Dark Materials', 'Pillars Of The Community', 'The Alchemist' and 'Her Naked  Skin' and recently at the Old Vic Theatre in ‘All About My Mother’ and ‘Six Degrees of Separation’. Her frequent television work includes Alan Clarke’s much acclaimed ‘The Firm’, and the highly successful series ‘Holding On’, 'Other Peoples Children', 'Bodily Harm', ‘Real Women’, ‘The Cazalets’, 'North And South'  and ‘Cranford’.

If you would like to be a special guest at our Afternoon Tea, we have two places available. Simply answer this question:
